Product care
Made to be used.Made to be kept.
Wood is a living material. A little care keeps a piece beautiful for a lifetime, and most of it is common sense.

Everyday use
- Wipe with a damp cloth and dry straight away.
- Never put a wooden piece in the dishwasher or leave it soaking in water.
- Keep it away from direct heat and long spells of direct sunlight, which can dry and fade the surface.
Boards and kitchen pieces
- Wash by hand with mild soap, rinse and stand on edge to dry.
- Refresh the surface now and then with a food-safe oil or board conditioner; when the wood looks dry, it's ready for a coat.
- Light knife marks are part of a board's story. If a surface ever needs renewing, ask us.
Boxes, coasters and small goods
- Dust with a soft cloth. A little furniture wax once a year keeps the sheen.
- Felt or cloth under hard objects protects the finish.
- Hardware can be tightened or replaced; please don't force a stiff hinge.
When something goes wrong
- Scratches, dents, a dull finish, a loose joint: most things can be repaired or refreshed. Tell us what happened and we'll suggest what to do.
- If it was made by us, we'd rather restore it than see it replaced.
